  • LumbiniSituated at the India-Nepal border, Lumbini is an important place for Buddhist pilgrims. The place holds utmost importance to Buddhism followers because Lord Buddha was born here during the 556 B.C. The place has a Buddhist stupa and a Bodhi tree that marks the existence of Lord Buddha’s presence in that area.
  • BodhgayaBodhgaya is the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment through a 4-day meditation process. This place has the Bodhi tree that is a symbol of Buddhism spirituality and a Mahabodhi temple that is a Buddhist monastery.
  • Sarnath-The Buddhist followers proclaim their traditional law of faith at Sarnath.   • KapilavastuLord Buddha had spent his first twenty-one years of life at this place before he started preaching Buddhism. Situated at a distance of 27 km from Lumbini in Uttar Pradesh, this Buddhist pilgrimage is visited by a large number of Buddhism followers every year.
  • SanchiThe place was built by the famous ruler Ashoka that become one of the greatest followers of Lord Buddha and started preaching Buddhism later in life. The magnificent stupa building in Sanchi is a world heritage site and a great Buddhist monastery. The place has great Buddhist temples that are visited by the pilgrims every year.
  • Leh-LadakhLocated in the chilly region of the Himalayan mountain ranges, the place is of great relevance since it is located at the end of the nation and is difficult to reach.
